A simple guide to choosing the location, wardrobe, details, and meaningful moments that will make your session uniquely yours.

I'm writing this because... one day, your little one won’t reach up to hold your hand quite so often. They won’t always snuggle into your lap, ask you to carry them, or laugh uncontrollably when you tickle them.
Right now, these moments may feel like ordinary parts of your day. But one day? They’ll be the moments you wish you could step back into, even for just a minute.
And that is exactly why I created my Motherhood Storytelling Sessions - to preserve these fleeting seasons and the stories within them. It isn’t only about creating beautiful photographs. It’s about holding onto the way motherhood feels right now,
the cuddles, the chaos, the laughter, and all the tiny details you never want to forget.
Before choosing where to have your session, think about what it is that you want to remember.
Do you want to capture your children splashing barefoot through the water? The way they snuggle into you while you read their favorite story? Maybe it’s their excitement as they pick flowers, feed an animal, or help you bake cookies.
Your session doesn’t need an elaborate theme. It simply needs something that gives you space to connect.
Imagine dipping your toes into a lake on a warm summer evening, sharing a picnic beneath the trees, or wandering through a field of wildflowers while your children gather a bouquet. You could splash in a creek, go apple picking, visit a family farm, or head out for ice cream.
Sticky fingers, windblown hair, muddy feet and unexpected giggles? That’s where the magic lives.
Some of the most meaningful stories happen within your own four walls.
We could document you baking cookies in the kitchen, dancing together in the living room, decorating your Christmas tree, or piling onto the couch with your favorite books.
Please don’t worry about making your home look perfect. Your children won’t remember whether everything was tidy. They’ll remember feeling safe, loved, and close to you—and that’s what I want your photographs to preserve.
At-home sessions can be especially beautiful for newborn photography and motherhood photography because there’s no need to rush. We can slow down and capture the tiny fingers, sleepy cuddles, and quiet connection of those early days.
Mama, they don’t need to.
Children connect through movement, play, and interaction, not by standing perfectly still and smiling on command. I’ll gently guide your family with simple prompts, but there will always be room for your children to explore and be themselves.
We’ll capture a few classic photographs with everyone looking at the camera, of course. But my heart will always be drawn to the in-between moments: the way your child reaches for you, the laugh you didn’t expect, or the cuddle that happens when everyone forgets about the camera.
A storytelling session can celebrate any season, from maternity photography and those tender newborn days to the wonderfully busy years of raising little ones. If you’re dreaming of Utah family photography that feels personal and true to you, choose an activity you genuinely enjoy and come ready to love on your babies. I’ll help with the rest!
You don’t need perfect outfits, perfect behavior, or a perfect plan.
Just bring your people, exactly as they are. Together, we’ll turn an ordinary moment into a memory you can hold onto forever.
